WordPress VIP CMO

The Cole Group has been retained by Automattic (the creator of WordPress.com) to fill a key leadership role. We are looking for a world-class CMO to serve as a key executive to support our high-growth WordPress VIP business. The successful candidate will report to WordPress VIP’s CRO, Jary Carter.

Successful Outcomes

  • Develop $30M pipeline to hit 2020 revenue targets using a range of funnel tactics.
  • Use data and testing to analyze, build and improve WP VIP’s inbound and outbound lead generation engine.
  • Evolve WP VIP’s story to position WP VIP as an enterprise offering for scale.
  • Mentor and support a distributed team through high-touch verbal and written communication.
  • Build a trusted partnership with WordPress VIP and Automattic’s executive teams.

  • Success leading demand generation function and supporting a sales team at or beyond our scale.
  • Track record of hiring and leading a top-performing, cross-functional marketing team.
  • Demonstrated impact in a fast-growing SaaS company, ideally for an open-source or business application.
  • Experience marketing within a 40M+ ARR business.
