Mobile Developer
Take WordPress and other Automattic projects to phones and tablets by developing Open Source mobile apps and the systems that power them. Work on future versions of WordPress, Simplenote, and other native apps for iOS, Android, Windows Phone, BlackBerry, and more. You will explore the possibilities and challenges of creating great experiences on small-screen portable devices. The kind of person we are looking for would have:
- Strong programming skills in multiple languages like Objective-C and Java.
- Substantial mobile experience developing user interfaces, low-level systems, or both.
- Experience in developing and launching at least one high quality mobile application.
- Familiarity with backend technologies and how to interface with them.
- Passion for building new ways to blog on mobile devices.
- Good product instincts and user experience chops.
